Beginner Classes |
Our fixed length introductory classes include Puppy Kindy for young pups (9 – 15 weeks old) and Canine Companion Class (5 months and up) for adolescent through adult dogs. We also have a casual class called Juvenile Class (15 weeks – 5 months). See the Advanced Training tab for information about other classes.
Our trainers are current Club members who, after training their own dogs, have undertaken extensive instructor training. They volunteer their time each week to teach you how to train your dog; we do not train your dog for you. They will also give advice on dealing with problems you may have with your dog at home. Many instructors have trained one or more of their own dogs to competition standard.
Juvenile class is for puppies who have completed Puppy Kindy or equivalent but are not yet old enough for Canine Companion Class. The class features further socialisation, informal obedience, tricks and games, and advice on teaching good habits and reducing undesired behaviours.
